GartPlan version 1.032
General
In the menu item ”General/Backup/Send data as e-mail” it is now possible to send a
copy of data in the current data set by means of e-mail. Data are packed in a
compressed format (an archive file) and attached to a new e-mail. All other
information prefilled into the e-mail is based on the contents of the Greenhouse
file. In multi greenhouse versions of the program it is possible to rename the data
to be sent to another data set.
The newly created e-mail is not sent immediately. This gives you the opportunity
to add or modify the contents as needed. Thereafter the e-mail can be sent as normal.
Be aware: It is only users of Microsoft Outlook® version 8 or better
that can utilize this facility. Outlook Express or other e-mail clients are not
supported by this function.
Because Outlook® often is the target for virus attacks, it is not
possible to control Outlook® from another program without
interference. Outlook® cannot distinguish whether it is a virus that
is trying to spread or whether it is ok that a new e-mail is created. You will
therefore get a warning from Outlook®, and you will have to grant
permission before the function can be completed. If you do not grant permission,
data cannot be sent by e-mail.
In the menu item ”General/Backup/Retrieve data from e-mail” it is now possible to
retrieve data from an e-mail replacing the data in the current data set with these.
In a multi greenhouse ver-sion it is possible to retrieve data that are sent as a
dataset other than the current. The in box in Outlook® and all
subfolders to this are scanned for data that match the current data set, and
before data are read, it is possible to choose among the data sets found.
Be aware: It is only users of Microsoft Outlook® version 8 or better
that can utilize this facility. Se also "Send data (e-mail)" regarding further
restrictions.
A new general function ”Send as e-mail” [Shift+F10] makes it possible to send any
report as an e-mail. The newly created e-mail is not sent immediately. This gives
you the opportunity to add or modify the contents as needed. Thereafter the e-mail
can be sent as normal.
Be aware: It is only users of Microsoft Outlook® version 8 or better
that can utilize this facility. Outlook Express or other e-mail clients are not
supported by this function.

A new general function ”Show in web browser” [Shift+F11] makes it possible to show
any re-port in the installed web browser which can be either Internet Explorer or
Netscape Navigator.
Fields containing e-mail address or homepage are – where relevant – equipped with
a button for activating the installed e-mail client or web browser with the current
contents of the field.
In the menu item ”General/Data files/Copying with year offset” a new function has
been intro-duced to copy the total data basis for a production plan one year ahead.
The copy that is made as one task comprises department periods, selling prices,
batch data, and plan batches. It is still possible to make a partial copy with
year offset of the data basis as the functions for doing this are preserved in the
corresponding file entries.
Files
New fields in the greenhouse file: VAT no., Supplier no., Telefax, E-mail, and
homepage. The fields have been introduced due to the above mentioned new facilities
for sending and receiving data using e-mail.
In the operations file a new function for copying the standard norm time to all
places where the operation is being referenced in the crop file and the batch file
has been introduced.
Fixed errors
A calculation error in analyses and control has been corrected. The error that
is data dependent - and in most cases not showing – caused faulty/missing
starting quantities in several reports.
An error in the display (formatting) of norm time fields has been corrected.
Editing of the layout in the plan adjustment optimization had an error.
Error occurring, after settings in the planning graphics had been entered, has
been corrected.
The function ”Show crops” in the planning graphics did not respect limitations
regarding the crops indicated in the settings.
