General
All known errors have been fixed.
A few unsuitable ways of operating and some cosmetic flaws have been
corrected.
The function for tidying up old and obsolete data is now implemented.
It can be found in the menu as [General] + [Data files] + [Deletion of
obsolete data].
File entries
In the previous versions the program saved the positions of most of
the windows, making files entries reappear on the same spot as where
they were closed. This functionality has been extended to the position
of the current record within the file, which now is remembered and
restored as well.
It is now easier to amend the length of period in the department
file, the price list within the crop file, tables, and the optimization
file. A period line applies from "From week" until the beginning of the
next period line. Previously it was only possible to edit the field
"From week" within a period. Now "To week" can be edited as well. If the
period is extended and overlaps the next or prior period then the
program will remove the overlapping weeks from these periods. If the
period is narrowed, a new period line, containing the week interval left
over, will be inserted automatically.
Similar adjustments to the period length can now be made in the batch
file as well. However, in the batch file it is possible to have gaps
between the intervals.
Within the batch file the tab "Information" (maxi version only)
contains calculated fields that show the area in m² per 1000 plants
started, the number of plants wasted, and the number of plants sold.
These field are now open for editing. If the area field is changed then
the field "Num. pl./m²" on the same line will be changed
correspondingly. If the number of plants wasted or the number of plants
sold is changed then the corresponding percentage field is changed as
well. Furthermore the program will automatically alter the percentage
fields on the following lines in such a way that the numbers of plants
wasted and sold stay the same.
In the planning file a new function [Ctrl+F2] is introduced for
editing the number of plants started based on the type of and a number
of benches. The type of and the number of benches the batch is to be
started on can be chosen. The program will then calculate the resulting
number of plants. For the function to work at least one bench type must
be specified within the greenhouse file.
In the planning file the lines now can be sorted in either crop order
or batch order. Change between the two orderings by pressing [F8].
Planning graphics
The area, labour, and sales graphics in the planning file are now
saved and restored in the same format from session to session. If the
planning file is closed with e.g. 3 graphics still being open then these
3 graphics will appear simultaneously next time the graphics button is
pressed. Each of the graphics now saves the screen position as well as
what it has been set to display.
The survey function "Show crops" that was used in the graphics part
of the DOS GartPlan has been reintroduced. The survey displays all crops
that participate in the graphics in the window. It is not certain that
all crops will be visible in the graphics, as crops not covered by the
visible period in the graphics may be included. In the survey it is
possible to select a crop which then becomes the current crop.
The function "Adjust batch" that was used in the graphics part of the
DOS GartPlan has been reintroduced and extended. The function is capable
of adjusting the batch size in any type of graphics (area, labour, and
sale) according to a given gauge value. If no gauge value is specified
then only the area graphics are capable of adjusting the batch size, and
that is done according to the space available.
Each graphics can now be scaled (as in DOS) making it possible to
monitor even small batch sizes. This is done by entering the maximum
value to be shown in the same way as a gauge value is entered. Values in
the graphics that exceed the scaling value are not visible, as these
will be above the window.
Reports
Wage expenses for sale are now included within labour costs in
analyses, and not as previously within sales costs. Thereby the way of
making this calculation has been reverted to the way it worked in the
DOS version of GartPlan.
A new control report has been introduced called "Batch plan" (maxi
version only). The report shows in which weeks the plants are spaced, in
which weeks they are sold, etc. On the report space is available for
recording any deviation from the plan made. The report can therefore
become the basis for entering correcting values in the data base for the
plan.
By defining a layout for the "Batch plan" it is possible to
make a report that displays starting weeks for specific operations. This
can be used for example for making reports showing the week numbers for
pesticide application, spacing etc.
A new control report has been introduced for printing out diary texts
for batches in the current plan. The batches included are those selling
in a given selling week interval.
